History
Hello, I am Steven Sanders-Myers, the owner of DSM Construction.
I have been in the residential construction industry for the past seven years and in management for the past eleven years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree from Bryan College in 2002. I started out building custom homes in north Georgia. I specialized in rough and finish carpentry, but also was trained and worked in numerous other construction practices, including electrical, plumbing, roofing, siding, drywall, etc. As I progressed from a labor position into a project management position, I worked for a speculative builder in metro Atlanta for a number of years.
During my time there I became Osha 10 certified, International Residential Code certified and NPDES certified. I managed multiple subdivisions at a time and built over 125 homes during my time there. I also worked as a project manager for a custom homebuilder, managing the construction process of a number of large custom homes and renovations in the Decatur area. Additionally, part time, I have worked with an interior designer handling all installations, furniture assembly and placement, window treatments, etc. In 2009, the option to start my own company showed itself and I took hold. I passed the state of Georgia’s licensing application and examinations and received my state contractor’s license by the summer of 2009 and officially opened for business.
